Hi I'm Catie!
I live in Albany, NY with my husband of 7 years and our 2 year old daughter. I work in a preschool as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Working with young children, I do A LOT of arts & crafts. I’ve been crafting for as long as I can remember. My mother is a very talented artist and passed on some of her creativity to me. When I was little, I used to make my parents hand made cards for e v e r y holiday. I think they still have some of them. I would use uncooked pasta, magazine clippings, buttons, string, anything I could get my hands on. I loved handing it to them and seeing the look of joy on their faces. As I got older, I continued crafting homemade gifts for people. For Christmas this past year, my husband (who I think was trying to score major husband points) got me the ultimate gift for a craft lover, a Cricut cutting machine! I began making ALL OF THE THINGS; signs, T-shirts, dish towels, and then my favorite, canvas pillow covers. I love creating and gifting to people and it is something I hope to pass on to my daughter, as my mother passed to me.
Why Pillow Covers?
I've always loved decorating, whether it is decorating rooms in my house or decorating for a party, I just always have loved it. I also love switching up my decor because I get bored very easily. I started getting pillow covers a few years back to switch up my throw pillows during different seasons and Holidays, it was cheaper and easier than getting new pillows all the time. When I got my cricut, I started buying plain canvas covers and making my own designs and loved how they turned out. I was getting so many compliments, I thought "hey, maybe other people would like to have these too!" The reversible idea came solely as a way to save, it was winter and I had made a “Get Cozy” pillow cover, then February came and I wanted a Valentine’s Day cover so I flipped it over and made a “Hugs & Kisses” design! After Valentine’s Day, I flipped it back over! And the rest, as they say, is history!

Pillowtalk's pillow covers are reversible, meaning there is a design on both sides, allowing you to flip it when you want. Pillowtalk covers will give you the opportunity to switch up your decor and cover up that old 12x20 lumbar pillow you are getting tired of looking at! Pillowtalk's pillow covers are a natural canvas material and color. They are made with a polyester linen blend. The covers are 12x20 for the perfect size lumbar pillow for your couch, bed, accent chair or welcome bench! They have a hidden zipper closure. Pillowtalk uses Cricut iron-on vinyl which is very durable and outlasts 50+ washes. We use black iron-on vinyl only at this time to provide a clean classic look for the pillow cover.
